From humble backyard beginnings, our family business blossomed through

the love of cooking and sharing generous hospitality.

What started as packaged seasonings, produced from our herb gardens, grew into a nationwide celebration of flavor and hospitality. Working side by side with our children — a cherished family tradition — we’ve delighted event clients across the country with our Legendary Flavors and Signature Recipes. This journey, rooted in natural, flowing hospitality, has evolved into Cooking with Spirit: a vibrant expression of family, flavor, and fun.

In 2004, driven to keep up with the numerous events booked, our packaged foods were put on the back burner due to illness, hurricane disasters, and economic challenges. Persevering, with the ups and downs and everything in between, our son Wesley, still involved with the family business, said to me, “Mom when people think of the Millers they think of good food, fun, a celebration, and maybe a little dancing!” My response was, ‘Yes, Wes, we’ll write our cookbook, Cooking with Spirit, one day.' His vision did not resonate with me at the time.

Always persevering, in the winter of 2021, only a few months before our Wes passed away, he came to me again, much more intently, with a vision. He said, “Mom when you see what I see, you’ll design things that will express what Cooking with Spirit is, and people will love it!” Now known as

Chef Wes, an experienced, widely diversified, Culinary Chef with unmatched Southern Charm, who loved his Cajun Farm Home.

Three years later, in the winter of 2024, my heart began healing from the loss and was opened to Wesley’s vision, Cooking with Spirit, a family tradition, became clear! Excited beyond measure yet careful to stay on course, the first Cooking with Spirit, Boxes, Bundles, and Bags were designed, filled with Seasonings and Condiments from our Cajun Prairie Farm, other Louisiana-grown products and hospitality essentials that bring Cooking with Spirit to the world, sharing our legacy of making a life not just a living!
